Comparative effective analysis of treatment options for Alzheimer's disease Lead Investigator: Michelle Xia Institution : Northern Illinois University E-Mail : cxia@niu.edu Proposal ID : 712 Proposal Description: We propose a novel statistical method accounting for covariate misclassification when assessing the survival curve and clinical measures of patients with Alzheimer???s disease. The method can be applied for comparative effective analysis of the available treatment options for Alzheimer???s disease. In particular, certain self-reported risk factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, depression, diabetes and other health history variables may be subject to reporting errors, due to the difference in people's perspectives on the definition of the conditions and undiagnosed cases due to lack of tests or symptoms. Adjusting for the possible errors will help improve the accuracy of the results on the comparative effective analysis.
